IRON CROSS SURFBOARDS

Iron Cross Surfboards is a family owned and operated Surf Shop. Jeff and sons Jay and Gino run the shop. When Jeff and Jay are not at the factory working on their boards you’ll find them at the store talking boards. Also carrying locally made Sunny Sky’s Bikinis, which have been a local staple in Cardiff for over 35 years, they have a large assortment of the finest quality hand made bikinis. Having roots in Cardiff since the 1960’s, the Grygera family couldn’t imagine a better location than where they grew up surfing and enjoying the beach themselves.

Jeff’s surfboard career started at the young age of 15. He worked on making boards for himself and friends until he was offered a part time job at SNI (Surfing’s New Image). In the 70’s SNI was considered one of the largest surfboard factories in the world. Working alongside mentors such as Donald Takayama, Mike Slingerland and Rick Hamon from Rusty. Since the mid-1990’s, Jeff has produced a number of surfboard labels at their Southern California factory, and quickly earned a name for themselves for on-time delivery, superior craftsmanship and excellent customer service.

Son Jay was quickly thrown into the laminating room. After high school he apprenticed at the family factory, as well as other glassing factories. Jay is a world traveling surfer and one of many team test pilots. He is currently head of the laminating department with 14 years of experience.

Come by our store in Cardiff by the sea to check out the boards, say hi, and meet Jeff, Jay and Gino. A few new models have been added due to customer response and requests. If you don’t see that dream board we are happy to custom build you one. If you already have your Iron Cross board needs covered we have a great selection of hats, shirts, hoodys , beanies, and stickers.

Thanks for your support and turn a friend on to us.
Sincerely,
Iron Cross Family
